Happy Birthday Minnie!

I still remember distinctly when Minnie first came into our lives. She's such an adorable and good pup. No whining. No crying. No barking.

7 years later, she's a grown dog but for me, she's still a pup in my eyes. Whenever I dote on her, hubs always shakes his head LOL! He always says I'm spoiling her but he's also doing the same!

She's my -gardening, cooking, laundry, sleeping- basically everything companion. She follows me wherever I go so when she's not, I know she's up to no good LOL! Anyway...

Nashi ya riNgo - amigurumi #atozchallenge

Cool title eh? Well, I just thought of translating it to Japanese since ami-gurumi is from Japan (あみぐるみ).

Nashi ya ringo (梨やリンゴ) literally means pear and apple LOL! Yes, it's my new amigurumi which I've made for my sister's new fruit bowl, adding to the oranges she had gotten from me previously.

Amigurumi: Charizard

This is a special birthday gift for my boy which I've started since last year! Stopped for a few months due to lost of interest as there were many finer details which got me demotivated. Anyhow, I've finally managed to complete it, albeit a few weeks late, for his birthday!

This is a very challenging design for me, though it's big which should be easy but it's fingers and toes and horns are sooo small!!! I definitely had a hard time crocheting these plus my hyperopia was not helping at all! Finishing it definitely made me felt relieved and accomplished another milestone!

Amigurumi: red devil

Hub's 45th birthday was a low key one since we can't have any celebration until FIL's 1st death anniversary is over. So I've cooked his favourite spaghetti for dinner (you can view my easy peasy how to here) and actually crochet another red devil!

Yes, I've made this previously for my bro Chris and now another for hubs since he's a Man Utd fan! I think I could make a 3rd one for bro Ryan... we'll see how as though it's easy to make but the horns are difficult! Too tiny LOL!

Suri's birthday party

I've never been to a birthday party in ages! Recently went to one, a dear friend's 2 year old daughter's party. It was low key and private with family and a few good friends. I felt so blessed to be surrounded by them, glad that I've agreed to attend and thankful to have known them.

Truly a memorable evening with lots of good food and great company!

Suri, may you grow to be a beautiful lady and remember to always take good care of your mommy. Hope you have a memorable 2 years old!

Happy Birthday Pa!

Today, my dad would have been 73 years old. It's been 2 years and 9 months since he has passed away but I still do missed him tremendously. I guess I'll never forget him as he has been imprinted in my heart since the day I was born.

Happy Birthday Minnie!

Today is Minnie's 6th birthday! It's been a hectic few weeks as she suddenly picks up some skin disease... a real headache for us as she's never been to a hospital, not even to a groomer...

So we headed to a pet shop and got her these as according to them, it should be fungal infection...

As her condition worsen and she seemed to scratch more, even bleed with skin flaking, we decided to head to a vet at UPM Serdang. Doctor's diagnosis - it's actually eczema... I wonder what is she so stressed about??? =.=

OTW to the hospital

So with a cone, anti-biotic, anti-histamine, fish oil and some summer clips, she's getting better now.

TBH, so easy to bathe her without hair!!!

Lucky her, all these happened prior to her birthday so the full grooming is like a birthday treat for her lah! LOL! She also got to stay indoors more nowadays. I guess a blessing in disguise. So need to get her more indoor toys to occupy her mind. Unfortunately, she doesn't know how to sleep in a bucket with blanket. She thought I was going to lock her there and jumped out when I put her in! LOL!

Anyway, it was a traumatic few weeks for us as it's the first time so just hoping that she heals well and everything will be back to normal soon. Minnie, please continue to be a good girl ya... love you much!

Tyger's quiet 13th birthday

As my FIL passed away recently, we are not able to celebrate any occasions within the 100 days mourning period. As such, we could not celebrate Tyger's birthday either... he's formally in his teens now! A teenager *chuckle*! So instead, we have a special pre-dinner aka appetiser treat for him. 

We went to IOI City Mall Putrajaya for his favourite Magnum Cafe. Yes... the yummylicious, picturesque desserts... and we totally had a blast!

It may not be much but it was a memorable one as we got to spend quality time together. It's a coincidence that his birthday was during the first school holiday break and they were here in KL. I totally felt so blessed that my angels were here, so thankful that we got to have fun together and so grateful that they were not in hometown loafing away.

So so so missed them now since school has reopened. Can't wait for their next school holiday for our delayed vacay! Another 2 months + to go, yay!

It's been a while since I last saw Sue and Adrianne. So when Joyce mentioned of hosting a simple birthday party for them, I was astounded! It's pot luck so all the food we had were homemade except for my fruit punch which were canned fruits :-p The best part, all was coincidentally western! Amran brought spaghetti and fruit jelly, Steven made garlic bread, egg sandwiches and mushroom soup and Sue brought chicken pie! All so yummylicious and fresh!

Totally fun, frivolous and filled with laughter!!! We laughed from day to night!!! All those energy! All those laughing exercise! When I reached home, I actually felt totally beat and headed to bed ASAP! Even hubs was surprised as I would usually troll around before going to bed LOL!

Really had a wonderful, memorable Saturday! Hoped to meet them more often, trust me, they will laugh all the stress away ^.^

My 42nd Birthday

A reminiscence of my birthday this year. Nothing grand but memorable in my books albeit a few untoward incidents.

Firstly, we had an unexpected day trip back to hometown to check on FIL. He's still weak but looking pink of health now. Spent some quality time with Angels too and I was so happy when they actually bought a cake to celebrate my birthday, 3 days early! I was so touched!

The next day, met up with my BFF, Joyce, and she gave me a chic envelope purse from Dorothy Perkins! It blew my mind off! Thanks so much babe!

On the eve, we had dinner at O' Viet. We actually wanted Shogun as I love Japanese food but the staff misinformed us and were kinda lackadaisical, chatting instead of serving hence we went off to look for other options. Will update our experience here in another post.

Upon switching on my notebook and mobile, Google greeted me... it brightened my day!

Unintentionally, we had a little western dinner on my birthday at TJ Haus. I've always loved the ambiance here and both the service and food are good. Will share that in another post ^.^

Although there were no big celebrations nor huge shenanigans, I totally had a wonderful time with sweet memories to boot with my loved ones. Not forgetting all those beautiful birthday wishes from Facebook to Google to Skype to Whatsapp to WeChat and even Instagram!!! Wow! Thanks to social media, we are all connected either near or far... so blessed to have them as my friends! Even sis Alvina, bros Ryan and Chris had something for me... an angpow from Alvina, a professional studio photoshoot voucher from Ryan and my domain name renewal from Chris ^.^

The only setback, I had diarrhoea and gastric after that... was on medical leave the next day sigh!

Anyhow, I am so so so blessed and thankful... a year older, hopefully wiser... amen!

Minnie's 5th birthday

Yesterday was Minnie's 5th birthday and I actually wanted to give her a special treat but lately, she has become a rascal =.= 

Started barking more often, biting all kinds of things which she has been prohibited including my shoes and even went on food strike ignoring her favourite bone. Well, understandably, I guessed her naughty antics are due to her female hormones... she's on heat. Ya, ya, I know I should neuter her... soon, soon... need to convince daddy. 

So we went to the nearest shop to get some nice canned food for her after work but unfortunately, they don't have variety, just Pedigree chicken, so bought a can instead.

Added some kibbles and fried chicken, dare not put too much, just in case wasted

Full of curiosity, slowly nibbling it before fully attacking the tower of canned food! The end result: clean and clear!

Happy birthday to my dear Minnie! Loved you to bits even though you have been naughty! I pray you have a good health and longevity!

Charles' birthday

We had dinner at Restoran 88 on 4th June to celebrate hubs colleague's birthday. Charles has been 1 of hubs good friends for many moons! A friendly chap with a nice heart, he's still single ya... perhaps due to the long working hours and little family time he could squeezed in... not much of a 'me time' left.
