Finally! I have found a worthy campaign to donate to… thanks to Nuffnang!
Nuffnang is one of the organizations on board for this ‘TLC Promise Me Campaign Season 2’ cause. Their pledge is to raise funds and help Rumah Aman replace their 15 year-old electricity wiring and lightning breaker system.
For this good cause, I’ve transferred all RM63.50 to Rumah Aman’s Maybank account on 3/1/12. Unfortunately, I have not receive the receipt yet, will definitely share it with you once I’ve received it. You can do the same too, very easy and convenient, I have copied and pasted the instruction here:
- Online: You can make a direct donation to Rumah Aman via online banking to Maybank2U, with the remark: “Nuffnang TLC Promise Me S2”. Donations should be directed to Rumah Aman (Shah Alam), with the account number 562106720433 (Maybank). After you have made the transfer, kindly send a screenshot of proof of the transfer to tlcpromiseme@nuffnang.com.
- Via cheque: Cheques can also be issued to Nuffnang Sdn. Bhd. and sent to our KL office at the address below:
12B5 & 12B6, Heritage House
33 Jalan Yap Ah Shak
50300 Kuala Lumpur.
All donations are tax deductible, and Rumah Aman will be able to issue a receipt for your kind donation :)

On another note, a new year with a new look ^.^ My blog is brighter now right? I wanted something fresh and readable since the previous template was kinda dark and dull. Hopefully this new look is favourable and appealing to you too!
As promised from my previous post, which you can read it here, I’ll update whenever I can on the collections so far so here goes…
So total collected up to today is RM29!!! *whistle blowing* Now we have 2 happy kids!!! Targeting for more as we still have another 3 weeks to go *fingers crossed*
I’m not child crazy like most of my friends are. I mean I won’t go oooh! or aaah! or pinching a child’s face and say ‘sooo cute!’. In fact, when a child sees me, he or she usually turns away! Ya… I have the ibu tiri look =.= Well, of course, I do love my angels to bits! No qualms about that ^.^
We have been reading quite a lot lately on child abuse; be it abandonment, mentally or physically abused, rape, etc. It’s so pathetic since we are living in a civilized world. The more advance we are in technology, the more mentally sad we become… sigh!
Picture googled: childrightsandyou.blogspot.com
Probably due to stress from work or family, these ‘victims’ lurk in every corner, trying to pick a child to ‘feast’ on. Blatantly ignoring the child’s cry, they probably thrive on his or her fear. It’s so masochistic! Such sadism! I will not dwell further on this as I totally can’t stand the pain or suffering that child is experiencing… I do have a very vivid imagination. A number which we all should remember whenever we heard a child being abused… do call Talian Nur 15999 before it’s too late.
I also can’t imagine how a mother can carry her baby for 9 months and then deliver him or her in a toilet bowl! It’s so cruel! The baby is so goddamn innocent! If you wanted to enjoy sex that much, for goodness sake wear a condom or take the bloody pregnancy prevention pills! It’s so heart-wrenching to read such news every day about babies being dumped in public toilets or dustbins… of all places! So irresponsible… definitely not worthy to be parents of such adorable babies. If you don’t want the baby then drop him or her off at Baby Hatch, NGO OrphanCARE, located at 6, Jalan SS1/24A, Kampung Tunku where he or she will be in good hands.
United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has been actively trying to save children from being abused. Their message ‘Raise your hand. Stop child abuse now!’ is clear and precise. We must join our hands and get on board to help them save more children from being abused. Click on the link below to be counted, to say you also care enough to stop child abuse. I am already on board, are you?
We were in Tropicana City Mall last Sunday for grocery shopping and we were pleasantly surprised by a lion dance at the main entrance in the middle of the afternoon. Errr… it’s not even Chinese New Year yet???!!! We heard the announcer made an announcement earlier but I wasn’t listening since it’s in Mandarin… pardon me the banana don’t understand ler =.= We were halfway through the sand art when my angels insisted we go watch the lion dance ^.^
Apparently, they were holding a Charity Carnival for 2 days at TCM and they have invited the lion dance to perform. They have also invited a Hong Kong actress to officiate the event… she happens to be the Charity Ambasador too. You can find this charity on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/charitycarnival or official website http://t.sina.com.cn/charitycarnival. Honestly, I have never heard of her but she’s very pretty and tall!!!
Rose Chan was her name… ain’t she so sweet???!!!
Earlier on we took some photos here and there…
Anyway, another pleasant surprise which I received last Friday night… I was checking out Astrolife website to see if there’s any new contest to participate when I noticed the Rapunzel contest result was out. As usual, I’ll check out the winner list since I didn’t receive any emails about it. While scrolling down the list, I was surprised to see my name there! Yes! I have won the Special Prize of this contest!
This time, I brought MIL and NIL to watch the movie with me and Princess last night. It’s like a ladies night out with Rapunzel! Hubby and Tyger, the guys, lepaking around The Curve pulak ^.^ You can click here for the review of Rapunzel: A Tangled Tale. For those who didn’t know, I had gotten 3D tickets to watch this movie last week from Churp Churp
Daddy busy taking photos with Tyger while waiting for us ^.^
Thanks Astrolife for the wonderful Special Prize! Princess loves it so much! Me looking forward to other contests in Astrolife now!
Last but not least, continued from yesterday’s post, the last stop of our outing… Summit USJ.
The only reason why we frequent Summit is because of Popular & MPH Bookstores and it’s parking convenience. However, now that has changed our mindset after what has happened last Saturday night. I’ll start off with our sad mishap as I didn’t wanna end this post on a sad note.
The vending machine to pay parking in Summit has been of inconvenience lately. There were 4 machines initially but 2 has been spoilt for ages and no one repairs it (1 has been permanently removed since). So leaving 2 which are working, both at different ends of the mall. The one near Giant always has a long queue especially during closing time. At times, the tickets were unreadable, rendering shoppers to pay manually at the one and only exit counter on the way out. This will cause endless jams in the car park due to the location of the counter. After paying RM2 for our ticket at the machine, we were stuck at the usual jam in the car park. Hubby finally managed to maneuver out to the exit towards the main road in front of Summit after about 15 mins. However, our joy was short-lived. Our paid ticket was rejected by the machine, stating that we have not paid =.= The Corporate Parking staff was there and insisted that we did not pay hence we can’t exit! We were flabbergasted! Angry and annoyed, we argued with him! WTF! We do not wish to donate another RM2 for their stupid machine’s error!!! Our biggest mistake was not printing the receipt as we believed in saving trees. He finally relented and manually let us out! Come on! It’s your fcuking machine’s fault and you want to blame it on your customers??? We left on a sour note! Terrible lah! Pfft!
Anyway, Summit is promoting Crayon Shin Chan and we get to redeem different goodies daily. At first, my angels were happy about it then realized there’s no live appearance that night but we did redeemed a bag and a notebook ^.^
Simple Christmas decoration!
We did another charitable cause at MPH. This is something we have done yearly without fail. MPH calls it Share-a-gift, they will set up a Christmas tree with names of orphan’s hanging around the tree. We will then select the name we want to buy a gift for. MPH will wrap the gift before placing it at the foot of the tree. We usually buy stationary sets or books for them as it’s useful *grinning*
Tyger and Princess’s gift for Vanessa from Charris Home.
We had dinner at Little Taiwan which had just opened recently and it’s quite crowded, probably because it’s still new and they have a local celebrity as their spokesperson. I was also surprised it has been ‘Halal’ certified.
Our beverage: MIL’s yam milk tea with pearls, Hubby’s Taiwan style ying yong cold, Tyger’s strawberry shake, my Taiwan style ying yong hot and Princess’ love jade jelly.
Tyger’s Taiwan chicken sausage, luckily not spicy but very tasty. Tyger enjoyed it a lot as it suited his taste bud.
Hubby’s deep fried wanton, nice and crunchy!
Princess’ wanton dry noodle was on the sweet side.
My Little Taiwan claypot laoshufun… I actually liked it. Tasted just right with a tinge of sweetness. Aiyah, the wanton soup was for my Princess’ noodle ^.^
MIL’s spicy chicken chop noodle – very spicy but tasted like those off the shelf curry instant noodle instead! Chicken chop was crunchy and nice though albeit a little spicy.
Overall, it felt and tasted similar to other ‘char chan theng’ or Chinese coffee house, nothing unique but a comfortable ambience. A good place to yam cha or lepak. Our total bill was RM82.40 including 10% service tax, which was a little pricey.
Location: Lot KLG08-1, 2 & 4, LG Floor, Summit USJ
6 thumbs up out of 10
I’m ending this post with a photo of Princess clowning around with Tyger.. what a day! Phew!
