Stop Child Abuse

I’m not child crazy like most of my friends are. I mean I won’t go oooh! or aaah! or pinching a child’s face and say ‘sooo cute!’. In fact, when a child sees me, he or she usually turns away! Ya… I have the ibu tiri look =.= Well, of course, I do love my angels to bits! No qualms about that ^.^

We have been reading quite a lot lately on child abuse; be it abandonment, mentally or physically abused, rape, etc. It’s so pathetic since we are living in a civilized world. The more advance we are in technology, the more mentally sad we become… sigh!

image

Picture googled: childrightsandyou.blogspot.com

Probably due to stress from work or family, these ‘victims’ lurk in every corner, trying to pick a child to ‘feast’ on. Blatantly ignoring the child’s cry, they probably thrive on his or her fear. It’s so masochistic! Such sadism! I will not dwell further on this as I totally can’t stand the pain or suffering that child is experiencing… I do have a very vivid imagination. A number which we all should remember whenever we heard a child being abused… do call Talian Nur 15999 before it’s too late.

I also can’t imagine how a mother can carry her baby for 9 months and then deliver him or her in a toilet bowl! It’s so cruel! The baby is so goddamn innocent! If you wanted to enjoy sex that much, for goodness sake wear a condom or take the bloody pregnancy prevention pills! It’s so heart-wrenching to read such news every day about babies being dumped in public toilets or dustbins… of all places! So irresponsible… definitely not worthy to be parents of such adorable babies. If you don’t want the baby then drop him or her off at Baby Hatch, NGO OrphanCARE, located at 6, Jalan SS1/24A, Kampung Tunku  where he or she will be in good hands.

United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has been actively trying to save children from being abused. Their message ‘Raise your hand. Stop child abuse now!’ is clear and precise. We must join our hands and get on board to help them save more children from being abused. Click on the link below to be counted, to say you also care enough to stop child abuse. I am already on board, are you?

Review: The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of The Dawn Treader

Lucy and Edward have been staying with their cousin, Eustace. However, they are not in good terms thus Lucy and Edward have been hoping to quickly join with their parents, Susan and Peter in America. While in Lucy’s room, Lucy and Edward were reading a letter from Susan when Eustace barged into the room and complaint endlessly. Ignoring him, Lucy and Edward realized a Narnian looking ship has appeared in a painting on the wall. Slowly but surely, the sea in the painting suddenly became alive and flooding the room. Eustace was shocked! The flooded room turned out to be the sea when they resurfaced, with King Caspian and his crew bringing them onboard. Once onboard the Dawn Treader, their Narnian adventure begins!

Thanks to Nuffnang and GSC-Eon Bank Card, I got 2 tickets to watch the Premiere Screening in 3D last Wednesday! I’ve decided to bring Tyger as he has always been a Narnian fan. Hubby and Princess spent their quality time roaming around Mid Valley and Gardens, snapping photos endlessly! I’ll be posting that another day ^.^ Before the movie started, Ean and Moots! from hitz.fm were there to host the gala. There were simple games… photo taking in Narnian gears… etc.

Ean in a dress!!! Just realized he’s a red head now!

The movie overall was adventurous, with some epic drama. It’s loosely based on the diary written by Eustace, his point of view after discovering Narnia to be true. All the casts have grown up and blended well into the movie, hence it’s very realistic with beautiful sceneries. The storyline may be a little predictable but the overall adventure kept me on my toes. Why I say predictable? Well, most of the time, it’s Lucy who always gets kidnap and Eustace who gets himself into trouble. The ending was predictable too but kinda interesting when they discovered Aslan’s home. It reminded me of the 10 Commandments ^.^ Btw, not much 3D effects though… so can forgo paying extra.
The handsome King Caspian.. .drooling!

See what I mean? Looks like 10 Commandments :-)

Rose Chan & Rapunzel

We were in Tropicana City Mall last Sunday for grocery shopping and we were pleasantly surprised by a lion dance at the main entrance in the middle of the afternoon. Errr… it’s not even Chinese New Year yet???!!! We heard the announcer made an announcement earlier but I wasn’t listening since it’s in Mandarin… pardon me the banana don’t understand ler =.= We were halfway through the sand art when my angels insisted we go watch the lion dance ^.^

Apparently, they were holding a Charity Carnival for 2 days at TCM and they have invited the lion dance to perform. They have also invited a Hong Kong actress to officiate the event… she happens to be the Charity Ambasador too. You can find this charity on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/charitycarnival or official website http://t.sina.com.cn/charitycarnival. Honestly, I have never heard of her but she’s very pretty and tall!!!

Rose Chan was her name… ain’t she so sweet???!!!

Earlier on we took some photos here and there…

Anyway, another pleasant surprise which I received last Friday night… I was checking out Astrolife website to see if there’s any new contest to participate when I noticed the Rapunzel contest result was out. As usual, I’ll check out the winner list since I didn’t receive any emails about it. While scrolling down the list, I was surprised to see my name there! Yes! I have won the Special Prize of this contest!

This time, I brought MIL and NIL to watch the movie with me and Princess last night. It’s like a ladies night out with Rapunzel! Hubby and Tyger, the guys, lepaking around The Curve pulak ^.^ You can click here for the review of Rapunzel: A Tangled Tale. For those who didn’t know, I had gotten 3D tickets to watch this movie last week from Churp Churp Smile

Daddy busy taking photos with Tyger while waiting for us ^.^

Thanks Astrolife for the wonderful Special Prize! Princess loves it so much! Me looking forward to other contests in Astrolife now!

My Magical Journey

NarniaMap_fullsize

Narnia has many beautiful landscapes but only one which really captivated me.

Narnia-ice castle

The Ice Castle… isn’t it beautiful? I have always loved the snow and ice even though I can’t stand the cold Smile with tongue out

I would love to explore… play in the snow, learn to ski, play with polar bears… enjoy every captivating moments in the freezing cold. I would also get to wear fashionable winter gears like colourful ear muffs, cute gloves, trendy trench coats which our current hot weather wouldn’t allow  Winking smile

After a tiring journey, I would love to stay in an ice hotel… ya, you read it right…

Have a few drinks in the ice bar… I would love a cool martini, shaken not stirred ala James Bond Smile

Finally, a good and cooling night rest in an ice bed… sigh! No complaints of hot weather and broken air-conditions here… I bet no mosquitoes buzzing around too!!!  Smile

IF I HAD RAPUNZEL’S HAIR

I have always wondered what if I have 70 feet of magical golden hair, just like Rapunzel, hmmm…

image

I know I would love to brush it endlessly, ensure it gleams beautifully as my hair now is kinda stubborn and not easy to manage.

image

I would also hope that my magical golden hair can produce actual gold! I can just pluck a strand whenever I need $$$ ^.^

image

It would be great if I can put it to good use to save people too. Probably can volunteer in Mercy Malaysia or Red Crescent, I can use my long, golden hair to save lives especially in ditches or hard to reach area where ladders are not feasible.

image

Hmmm… it would be a great idea too if it had magical powers just like a magic wand! Just pluck one and wave it about, cite some magic words and whallah! Poof! Lee Hom is serenading me now… sigh!

Ok ok, back to reality *pinch myself* ouch!

IMG_0489

Anyway, my crowning glory has been given a make-over recently, all thanks to Sis In Law! It’s one of my best hair day as my hair, honestly, is stubborn, frizzy and unmanageable! I wished it would stay like this forever!

Back to Rapunzel, it’s coming to Malaysia’s big screen soon!

Sypnosis

Walt Disney Pictures presents RAPUNZEL: A TANGLED TALE, an action-packed, swashbuckling, animated musical comedy about the girl behind 70 feet of magical, golden hair. A princess stolen from her parents’ castle as a baby, Rapunzel (voice of MANDY MOORE) is locked in a hidden tower longing for adventure. Now an imaginative and determined teenager, she takes off on a hilarious, hair-raising escapade with the help of a dashing bandit (voice of ZACHARY LEVI). With the secret of her royal heritage hanging in the balance and her captor in pursuit, Rapunzel and her cohort find adventure, heart, humor, and hair… lots of hair.

With original music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, this comedic re-imagining of the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale comes to theaters in Disney Digital 3D™

I know my Princess would definitely want to watch this!
