[MPOV] Allertoin Cream for Kids - 1 month later

I have been blessed to be given this opportunity to try out this awesome cream which has worked wonders for my eczema-flared skin. As the affected area is around my waist, I am overcome with shyness to share my skin diary. As such, the outcome of the photos provided may look indifferent and the result not as positively clear (as seen on my Instagram). However, I am able to share my experience and positive feedback in writing.

It's been a month since I've started using Allertoin Cream for Kids to treat my eczema and the result has been promising so far. The affected area around my waist did flare up occasionally and more so recently due to a freak accident (hence more stress LOL) but overall, it was controllable and not as itchy. So far, my skin has not been broken and the eczema did not spread further with less temptation or inclination to scratch. I do apply the cream each time on the affected area in circular motion to ensure it has been evenly absorbed after I have taken my shower i.e. twice a day at least. If it does flare up suddenly, I'll just apply it and the itchy burning sensation will slowly ease off. The light textured, non-oily cream is truly a wonder plus it's fragrance free so making it a blessing to use.

I did noticed that some of the scars seemed less visible, as though it's fading out slowly. I do so hoped that it is true and eventually I would have a scar-free waist! Bikini, here I come LOL!!! With ingredients like olive oil, Ectoin, and vegetable oil to name a few, it sure is safe to use always since it does not contain steroid. Yes, it is steroid-free!!! All mild yet effective ingredients to combat eczema and the likes especially for sensitive skin.

I have provided an initial feedback earlier, a week after use, in this link below:

A healthy diet and lifestyle from now onwards

I am slowly learning and embracing a healthy lifestyle albeit a treacherous and difficult journey. Especially since hub's has hypertension, which ran in his side of the family, so the need to control and manage it is important.

Malaysian food, although delicious and tasty, is filled with lots of oil, salt, sugar, MSG and a whole bunch more unhealthy stuff. We have to eat healthily, observing the labels more especially when we buy packed food.

As I cook during weekends, now I have to learn to cook differently, using more herbs and natural ingredients for a more healthy balance diet. I've also learnt more about edible plants that I can grow via the various Facebook group channels which is really helpful.

For example, instead of using salt to taste, I've substituted it with basil and mixed herbs when I cooked this 'ABC Soup' :-)
Certainly tastier with fresh basil from my garden
My first herb: Basil
I also found this on Pinterest, which looked helpful
So from this day forth, a new resolution to live and eat healthily. Also, I am going to practice the KonMari Method of de-cluttering for a minimalist, welcoming and comfortable home so fingers crossed! I'll definitely share and post my journey here so for those who are interested can read and pick up a tip or 2!

SlimKicker

I was recently invited to try this cool diet/ fitness app but didn't have the time until today, since it is a Public Holiday, thanks to the new Agong ^.^

I've never been serious about diet or fitness thus I was definitely clueless about this. Looking at the dashboard after signing up, I honestly didn't know what I should do. Luckily this app is really user friendly with many help/ guide throughout my surfing so it is totally cool.
http://slimkicker.com/
SlimKicker is a health app where you can either diet or stay fit healthily through motivation. Motivation meaning living healthy with winnable games and small victories like a RPG game. Cool right?!

Every time you eat something healthy like vegetables, you earn some points. Each time you complete a workout, you earn some points. Each level will have different challenges for you to achieve and these challenges will help you 'level up' once you achieve it. The whole idea is to create a holistic game so that you will rely less on willpower but more on fun and achievements aka motivation. Usually, you will tend to be more lazy through willpower and you could end up not doing it anymore. Game wise, you will be more addictive, more prone to continue and achieving the challenges set.
SlimKicker's goals
It is currently available via the web and iPhone app store. I'm currently waiting for the Android version so that I can continue using it seamlessly. My only thought was to add a 'calories calculator' since not every food we take has the measurement available. Sorry if this sounds stupid as I'm totally clueless about all this! Btw, this is my goal:

Quick, try it out now!

http://slimkicker.com/

Christine, thanks for introducing me to this cool app of yours!

The buzz word is organic

Taken from Astroview April 2010

Organic living takes a lot of effort, simply because it involves a shift in lifestyle habits – it does not only require eating organically-grown produce. Here’s what else it involves:
  • Clothes
Organic cotton clothes are free from chemicals, are unbleached, undyed, and use 100% organically-grown cotton. Organic cotton is different because the process used for growing the cotton is natural and production does not use any chemicals
  • Homeware/ furniture
This includes using everything from eco-friendly cleaning products and furniture made from reclaimed and recycled wood to bed linen and mattresses made of organic cotton or wool from sheep raised organically!
  • Cosmetic/ skincare
Organic cosmetics and skincare products don’t use harsh chemicals in their ingredients, meaning that they are free from colours, fragrances and artificial preservatives. They are also not tested on animals which gets a thumbs up from us
  • Farming
Organic farming is a method that avoids the use of synthetic chemical fertilizers to influence crop growth. This means farmers go about their work with the environment in mind, so no artificial fertilizers or chemical pesticides. Animal farmers raise their livestock without the use of drugs and animal hormones. The main idea behind organic farming is zero impact on the environment.

Pneumonia?

A colleague saw the way I coughed today and he immediately told me to go see a doctor. I asked why and he replied ‘It looks like pneumonia’ o.O Apparently a lot of people assumed it’s just normal coughing but it could be something else so I should consult the doctor again. His friend had the same predicament and had been coughing for weeks until he finally saw a doctor, with x-ray, confirmed it’s pneumonia. I was taken aback, feeling afraid but the thought of meds again… sigh! See how lah…
