7.7 magnitude earth quake in Sumatra
This is the first time I felt it... so scary and eerie :-( At 6.20pm today, I suddenly felt my seat started to shake... I thought I was dreaming. It shakes for a while then go away and returned again... for a few minutes before it finally subsided. Even our water in the bottle was shaking o_O I felt dizzy after that. I was still in the office, on the 3rd floor. My colleagues also felt it and ran to the window to check out what has happened. A lot of people has left the building and was gathering outside. Sirens can be heard everywhere too. Some of us quickly packed our bags and leave... the rest couldn't as they had to meet the deadline. Even the traffic was terrible on the way home. We later got to know from the radio that Southern Sumatra had just experienced a 7.7 magnitude earth quake, near Padang. This is an experience I can never forget. I just can't imagine how those poor people in Sumatra can cope with this, being there and all. I think I would have peed in my pants. Lets hope there are not many casualties. May God have mercy on them.
