A mother's love

I will always remember this incident in Clearwater Sanctuary Batu Gajah. It was a Sunday morning, good and clear weather which prompted us to bring our kids for a swim. We were in Batu Gajah visiting our sister in law and she is a member of the above mentioned golf club. We were about to leave and resting at the pool side after showering when we suddenly heard a scream. A small boy was drowning in the kid's pool. The father stood up, taking off his shoes and watch. The mother just jumped into the pool and picked her boy up. She was drenched wet with her belongings i.e. her handbag, shoes, clothes, watch. Those who witnessed the incident were in awe of what had just happened. In my mind, I was cursing at the father, why he needs to take off his shoes and watch when his son is drowning? This mother is a hero to me until today. When the crowd dispersed, we were discussing of what had just happened. It just proved the obvious... a man's reaction to a dangerous situation is much slower than a woman's... especially when involving a loved one. I'm not trying to prove anything, just stating the facts.

Love knows no boundaries.
