I really had a fun time watching this movie... lots of laughter, a bit of tears and then more laughter's! Too bad my kids have started schooling, back with their grandparents, or they would have laughed their @#$ off too ;-)
Alvin had accidentally injured Dave during one of their concerts in Europe, so Dave had to be hospitalized. He has arranged for an aunt to take care of the boys back home, arranged for them to go to school and set aside stardom for a while. However, upon reaching the airport, aunt met a mishap and had to be hospitalized. Thus Toby, Dave's nephew, had to care for the boys. This is where their adventure begins!
I just don't understand why they have to name the female Chipmunks, the Chipettes! It sounded really rude in Cantonese :-( When they introduced the Chipettes, the whole cinema patrons actually laughed. I guess they knew the slur in Cantonese. Hmmm... I know, I know, Mat Salleh's wouldn't have known it and it has to sound right with Chipmunks. Anyway, really worth watching it for a good laugh, their funny antics are never too old. As the old saying goes, laughter is the best medicine!
