Chinese New Year Eve

This year is the first time we are celebrating Chinese New Year in KL. Firstly, we need to appease the God's at home. Secondly, we need to 'wong' the house. Thirdly, there are not many relatives back in hubby’s hometown. Hence the last minute decision to celebrate it here ;-)

It's a first time for me, to do the prayers at home on my own for Chinese New Year Eve. We recently gotten the altars at home, not trying to be overly superstitious; just hoping for a better future, praying for a peace of mind. I didn't know there were so many things to buy, to prepare, etc. I have been calling my mom non-stop, just to make sure I get it right ;-) I have no intention of upsetting the God's :p

After the prayers, we had a nice ‘Tuin Nin Fan’, home-cooked dinner by my MIL. Mind you, she’s a really good cook. A simple dinner as there were just 7 of us. Err… actually 8, including Minnie, our pup ;-) SV404160

Last but not least, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my readers, friends and family a roaring Chinese New Year. May the year of the Tiger brings abundance of joy and wealth to all. Not forgetting a wonderful Valentine’s Day; full of love and laughter!  gong_xi_fa_caivalentines-day
