Bah Kut Teh:
I’ve cooked this dish before but I’ve bought another brand of pre-packed herbs and the method was different.
Yew Chian Haw Bah Kut Teh Herbal Mix tasted different from the conventional bah kut teh and it has a slight bitter with pepper taste. Not used to it though…
After boiling 2 litres of water, add in Yew Chian Haw Bah Kut Teh ingredients and bring to boil. Then add in 3 bits of garlic and 500gm of meat. Reduce the heat and simmer until the meat is tender. Add a dash of salt to increase the deliciousness of the soup. Once meat is cook, slice it before serving.
Stir-fry pak choy with prawns:
Marinade prawns with some salt and pepper. Proceed to heat up some oil in wok. Add minced garlic. Once fragrant, add pak choy. Stir-fry for a few mins. Mix some oyster sauce with water and pour it in. Cover with hood and let it simmer for a min or 2. Serve it once cook.
Scrambled eggs with tomatoes:
I’ve actually gotten this recipe from Rice Palette, looked really good so thought of trying it ;-) Changed it a little as I don’t have some of the ingredients (Really need to stock up my cupboard!). Luckily it turned out all right :-)
Beat eggs with a dash of salt and pepper. Heat a little oil and pour beaten eggs. Scramble it until almost cook, remove and set aside. Clean wok and heat up some oil. Add cut up onions and cook until fragrant. Add cut up tomatoes and cook for a few mins. Add a dash of salt and sugar. Mix a little Knorr Chicken Seasoning Powder with water and pour it in. Stir-fry for another few mins. Pour some tomato sauce then add scrambled eggs and stir-fry a little. Cover with hood and let it simmer until cook. Serve it once ready.
