The Legend is Born: Ip Man

This is a story of how Ip Man started practicing Wing Chun under Master Chan, his younger days, his family and how he met his wife, Wing Seng.

Thanks to Astrolife, I watched this movie last Wednesday with Hubby. A much better Ip Man movie compared to Ip Man 2. Although most of the casts were not popular, it was aptly told with totally cool and exciting Wing Chun moves. I loved the part when Leong Bik (Acted by Ip Chun, Ip Man’s son) and Ip Man sparred in Leong Bik’s medicine shop. It was enthralling… never noticed Wing Chun was such a creative martial arts until then. I just felt this movie was out too soon, just after Ip Man 2. They should have waited probably a year before releasing this movie :p I was like ‘Hurrr??? Another Ip Man movie??? What’s this???’ I’m sure others would have thought the same.
