Review: Food & Tea Hong Kong

This place is usually crowded and the concept is similar to other 'Hong Kong char chan teng' or Chinese kopitiam.

I ordered Stir-fried Udon Noodle with Prawn RM9.30. It turned out to be unimpressive, I mean presentation was off and the whole plate was literally filled with black pepper! Thankfully it tasted okay since it was full of peppery taste and the prawns were very fresh but damn oily. Hmmm... on second thoughts, should have ordered the usual... French toast which is the safest food to have in a kopitiam. My drink was like a redemption... chilled Eight Treasure RM3.90. It's cooling, not too sweet and soothed my throat after all those peppery and oily food. Just loved it!

Total bill was RM14.50 including of 10% service charge. Average pricing for a 'char chan teng' although I felt the noodle was a little too expensive since there's nothing much in it besides prawns, black pepper and oil. Service was the usual, ambiance was filled with chatters, typical of a 'char chan teng'.
