I understand that this was Madeleine's first book which explains the level and depth of the story. Honestly, it's not as good as the The Wedding Girl, a little slow paced and dull at times. Definitely preferred the Shopaholic series with good humour and interesting plots that made me laugh my heads off! The only plus point here was the ending as Madeleine tried to twist it a little but still turned out predictable in the end.
