Langkawi: Day 1

Finally, a family vacation which Tyger and Princess have been anticipating with agony! Agony as it's been a looong wait! Including us since we've been busy with work, very limited annual leaves and limited funds. Life... it sucks... sigh! Anyway, it'll be a picture filled post, divided into 3 since we were there for 3 days.

Angel's first flight. Yeap! Part of the excitement was it is their FIRST flight! Princess has been asking all kinds of questions... trying to find out the how, what, why, etc! LOL!

Our flight

Finally, take off!
After checking in, we freshen up and changed our gear, wasted no time and headed towards the beach! Thankfully, the weather was fair and the rain has just stopped when we arrived. Apparently it's raining season *go figure*

Sandy Beach Resort, Pantai Cenang
Since we required 2 double beds hence our chalet is away from the beach

After bathing and renting a car from a nearby shop, a Viva for RM80 a day, we headed into Kuah town for dinner. We opt for Wonderland Food Store as it was highly recommended in Trip Advisor. Service was good and efficient, food was delicious and at RM113, it was worthwhile especially the tender, meaty tiger prawn. Unfortunately, it rained mid-way through our dinner =.=
Wonderland Food Store: rating 7/10
Location: Lot 179, 180, 181 Pusat Perniagaan Kelana Mas, 07000 Kuah, Langkawi
Baby kailan RM10
Sweet & sour chicken RM10
Clam soup RM12
Buttered tiger prawn RM63
After dinner, we headed back to our chalet. Since it's still early and dry here, we decided to go for a walk along the over-commercialized and over-developed Pantai Cenang. So many tourists especially mat sallehs!
A popular drinking joint!
We chance upon this wonderful secondhand bookstore! So many varieties, languages and affordable too! I was so surprised with the collections here especially the many originals and overseas editions of the books!
Your Language Book Center, Pantai Cenang
Lastly, to end our first night, we had a drink at Telaga Seafood Restaurant which happened to be next to our chalet. The ambiance and decors were wonderful!

We were all tired max! I know for sure both Tyger and Princess had a wonderful 1st day... they were grinning endlessly even though they were darn tired! Everyone just snoozed off once our heads touched the pillow! Looking forward to day 2.
