Bali: Day 2 Tanah Lot Temple

Tanah Lot is a rock formation off the Indonesian island of Bali. It is home of a pilgrimage temple, the Pura Tanah Lot (literally "Tanah Lot temple"), and a popular tourist and cultural icon for photography and general exoticism.

The above taken from Wikipedia.

Our final tour and also temple destination, the infamous Tanah Lot! It was high tide then so we couldn't go to the temple itself... just enjoying the view from afar. The place was really crowded with many tourists and it wasn't an enjoyable stop since many inconsiderate selfie's and photo bomber's around. It was so, so, so hot too since it's just past noon! Even our tour guide Wayan wasn't feeling well, perhaps from the heat and lack of sleep since his schedule was pretty tight.

With Wayan, our tour guide
Waves crashing baby!
Selfie's and photo bomber's sigh...

Even doggie can't stand the heat!

Hubs actually took lots of waves...

Apparently, Tanah Lot is 1 of the 'must go to' temple in Bali but I didn't really enjoy much here... perhaps due to the heat and very touristry. Furthermore wrong timing as it set us back at IDR65,000 for both of us but we didn't get to go to the temple itself, had to wait till evening for low tide. Other than that, it is a very beautiful architectural and natural temple with both ancient and modern artistry. Loads of waves crashing and nice landscaping... Balinese sure love their temples and the vast greeneries. Honestly should go during the evening if you want to visit and pray in the temple.
