MPOV: X-Men: Days of Future Past

In the dystopian future of 2023, sentient robots known as Sentinels are exterminating mutants - humans born with superhuman abilities. They also oppress the human population, as regular humans harbor the genes that can lead to mutant offspring. A small band of X-Men manage to evade the Sentinels thanks to the powers of Kitty Pryde, who has the ability to project a person's consciousness back in time to deliver warnings.

The X-Men rendezvous with Magneto and Professor X in a monastery in Mongolia. They hatch a plan to send Wolverine's consciousness back in time to prevent Mystique from murdering Bolivar Trask, the lead designer of the Sentinels. That assassination caused the chain of events that led to this dark future. Trask will become a martyr. Mystique will be captured and her mutant powers will be reverse-engineered and used to create the formidable Sentinels of the future. Charles advises Logan to seek out his younger self for aid.

Wolverine wakes up in 1973 in his younger body. He travels to Charles' mansion, where he encounters the young Hank McCoy and a dishevelled Charles. Most of his original X-Men are dead, which has left Charles a broken man. Charles has lost his telepathic powers from taking a serum in order to allow him walk again.

It started out strong with cool graphics and fantastic moves. Quite intriguing and funny especially when Peter was saving Erik in Pentagon! As the story progresses, it became more humane although they were mutants. I liked it but the ending... somehow didn't expect a happy ending, I was expecting the worst LOL! I guess I'm used to the usual sad and sob endings of Marvels and not this. A really cool movie to watch in the cinema. Can't wait for X-Men: Apocalypse which is scheduled to be released on 27th May 2016.

I missed this, thought there was none after the main credits: In a post-credits scene, people are seen bowing and chanting to En Sabah Nur as he creates the Egyptian Pyramids while his Four Horsemen stand in the distance.
