Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps
there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The
Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his
desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and
he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that.

I've read many rave reviews of this book hence when a friend
lent it to me, I was ecstatic and started reading it! This is definitely a good
and heavy read, with all the drama that is realistic in life. It actually
started off like any other tragic accident. Somehow we would know what it is
leading us to. Slowly but surely, it evolved into a lovely, funny and witty
love story which blossomed either with or without them realising. And then
reality bites toward the end with the denial and then acceptance which was
tumultuous, sad and heart wrenching.
The storyline was beautifully written, with ups and downs,
momentum just right. It piqued at the right moment, deciphered the feelings and
scenes on the dot. It's so believable and had me 'in' the story as though I was
witnessing it. Truly enjoyed this book.
Honestly, I may sound crude but I do agree and support
Will's decision. I mean we can do the same to animals but why not humans? To
name a few examples:
- When a dog is dying with a tumor, to avoid further pain, people will assists in it's death. Like a video which recently went viral in Facebook
- Same as horses, when they are hurt in wars and will not recover, they will be shot at to curb further suffering
There is no right or wrong in these grim situations. It is
all up to the individual who is suffering. I have Google Dignitas as I thought
initially it was just fiction. But lo and behold, it does exists. Below is a
