This is much more enthralling than book 1 with engaging plots and many new peculiars along the way which kept the momentum going. It was filled with much adventure from the start to the end but it left me hanging! I totally didn't expect that! But it did end with a closure for Jacob and his parents which I liked. The unexpected twist towards the end when Miss Peregrine was not actually a MISS had me at 'Oh ya hor!' LOL!!! Not forgetting those mesmerizing vintage photographs which added more depths to the story, making it more realistic and authentic.
I've rated this book 3/5 as the ending left me hanging like a cliffhanger! LOL! Now I have to quickly look for book 3, Library of Souls, to know the ending! Anyway, I thought I've found a typo but after Googling, it's otherwise...

Also a couple of quotes which got to me... especially when Jacob admitted to his dad which was very brave!
Emma to Jacob:

Jacob to his father:
"No, Dad. I'm peculiar."
