MPOV: Boran classic Thai street food

My rating: 2/5
Type: Non-halal
Location: 25G, SS14/11, Subang Jaya

As much as I love authentic Thai food, I must say this classic street food is not authentic enough. Maybe I have just returned from Phuket recently hence the sensitive taste bud but I've definitely tasted better locally.
Basil Pork Rice RM8.30; Iced Thai Milk Tea RM5.30
The Iced Thai Milk Tea comes in a special takeaway tumbler which you can leave it too if you do not want it. Well for RM5.30, might as well take it LOL! Anyway, it tasted similarly to the local Iced Tea and not Thai infused ones as the milky tea tasted thin, not as fragrant and thick.

Basil Pork Rice was just a simple stir-fried minced pork with basil and chilli. Filling? Yes as the portion was big for me. Yummy? Well, it tasted average only.
Pork Stick Rice RM12.90
Pork Stick tasted OK lah... in fact it's the best I liked here aside from Tago. Even bro seemed to enjoy his rice palate a lot.
Pork Stick RM10.50
We did order extra sticks for sharing.
Khai Pa Lo RM10.50
Hubs initially thought this was Khao Kha Moo but it turned out like Bah Kut Teh instead! Definitely a huge disappointment for him. Luckily the extra Pork Sticks made up for it.
Tago RM2.90
Total bill was RM61.00 which is costly in my books. Well, they have advertised it as street food as such I would have expected street pricing or slightly more but not this much. Guessing it's more for the speciality of the food + drink + brand.

Also, there was a promo on Facebook, pic below taken from their Facebook page, where the Iced Thai Milk Tea costs only RM2 each but ours was still RM5.30 each! I wonder why the discrepancy... was it meant for takeaway only or without the tumbler? FYI, we had this at the end of Dec 2017.

All in all, it's just an ordinary Thai street food with the fancy interior of a shop with air-con ambience instead of the carts outside. I noticed there were many rave reviews of this place but I guess it was just not my cup of tea.
