This is a continuation from An Unexpected Afterlife, the second book of The Dry Bones Society trilogy. I've thoroughly enjoyed the first one hence my expectation is much higher this time around. Still a page turner with many new characters flooding into the book, unfortunately, I did get lost this time. Thankfully, with the few main characters weaving in and out, I was able to grasp it and kinda enjoy it overall. It's truly thought provoking touching on politics, religion and science, Dan Sofer had definitely done a thorough research and made it so relatable especially with our current world political stigma.
Overall, it's an entertaining book which I can totally imagined it like watching a movie in the cinema. It's intriguing plots had me finishing it sooner than expected. There may be fillers here and there, sometimes predictable plots but it was enthralling nonetheless, fast paced yet with a straightforward prose. With such ending, can't wait to start on the last book, A Premature Apocalypse! Resurrection, Messiah, Restart... I sure hope it ends with a big bang!
