This is a story for people who follow their hearts and make their own rules...people who get special pleasure out of doing something well, even if only for themselves...people who know there's more to this living than meets the eye: they’ll be right there with Jonathan, flying higher and faster than ever they dreamed.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull is no ordinary bird. He believes it is every gull's right to fly, to reach the ultimate freedom of challenge and discovery, finding his greatest reward in teaching younger gulls the joy of flight and the power of dreams. The special 20th anniversary release of this spiritual classic!

The above taken from Goodreads.

I find this novella intriguing as it's filled with lots of photos of seagulls LOL! Though mostly in black and white, I did find it funny to relate those photos to this book as it's mostly in flying mode which looked the same to me. It didn't show the different types of flying techniques etc. Oh well, seagulls are seagulls, or not.

This inspiring story tells of individuality, stay true to oneself, perseverance and hard work. As long as you put your mind to it, you'll succeed and not let the majority's negativeness stopped you from achieving your dream. It's such a nice motivational way of inspiring others by using seagulls instead of the conventional dogs and cats. It's truly creative, who would have thought that this is from 1970!

Such a simple book with a magnitude of meaningful hidden messages, definitely a book worth reading. It also serves as a great gift to a loved one. Ending this review with this quote:
When there is a will, there is always a way!
