MPOV: One, Two, Buckle My Shoe

My rating: 3/5
Goodreads rating: 3.75/5
First published: November 1940
Author: Agatha Christie
Genre: Crime fiction, mystery fiction

A dentist's suspicious death leads Poirot to drill the good doctor's patients, partners, lovers, and friends.

From the Publisher:
What reason would an amiable dentist like Dr. Morely have for committing suicide? He didn't have emotional difficulties, money problems, or love trouble. What he did have was an appointment with Hercule Poirot, who is not persuaded by the suicide story and has therefore taken it upon himself to questions the good doctor's patients, partners, and friends. All he's come up with is the numbing fear that Dr. Morely wasn't an unlikely victim at all. Nor the first.

The above taken from Goodreads.

This is another confusing read! Firstly the death was not as it seemed and then it got more confusing as another body popped up! In the end, with the little tiny hidden clues, Poirot managed to close the case! Assembling all those tiny clues, conjuring up the assumed plots until discovering who the murderer was... this is by far a lengthy one! Even I got confused reading his methodically staged idea before the murderer was disclosed! Phew!

That reason though why the murderer did what he did is so unreasonable and inexcusable! I guess AC wanted to proof that having money and status do make a difference. Poirot was definitely in a dilemma upon finding out the truth. This is definitely an interesting read amidst going round and round. Worth reading when you are clear headed LOL!
