One takes a very long emotional rollercoaster ride in a novel, but in an anthology, one takes many many short emotional rides. And that's what this anthology will do to you: bring you on different rides of new Malaysian writings.

So sit back with your cuppa and enjoy the read!

This anthology comprises of 14 short stories and poems written by aspiring Malaysian writers. From personal experience to family story to historical era, it was like a magical journey reading through it all. Short and sweet yet filled with various individual style and local flair, it was truly a different read from the usual, not as experienced and also some in Bahasa Malaysia.

All in all, I resonate more to Peter Soh's The Missing Tomb. It was akin to my late uncle telling me his stories during the Japanese occupation hence the familiarity. I can actually visualize it in a movie set-up especially with the peranakan grandeur with all it's glory and the harrowing experience during the Japanese occupation.

This is a nice short read out of the usual box. If you are interested to buy and support the local publication, please click here:
