Tyger has just gotten his report card and I’m so totally proud of him! He got no. 1 in his class and also overall! He’s now happily eyeing Hubby’s PSP as that is his reward for maintaining his result. I do hope he can maintain the same for next year
Anyway, Hubby went for his usual haircut last Wednesday after work, in Summit USJ. We also had dinner there…
Boasting of authentic Indonesian cuisine, Ayam Penyet Ria is different from any other Indonesian cuisines I’ve eaten. Ibu Ruth, the founder, has spent a long time to discover the right Ayam Penyet recipe.
A very simple menu, the dishes may look common but the taste is definitely unique.
The famous Ayam Penyet comes with tempe, tauhu and vegetables. The chicken was really tender and soft with delicious spices. I was surprised that it actually was crushed before cooking… that’s what Ayam Penyet means according to the story on the menu. No wonder the meat was just right.
Lele Penyet with tempe, tauhu and vegetables… totally fresh and delicious.
Sup Ayam Kampung was on the salty side though albeit tasty with tender chicken. I guess the soup must have been cooked for a while to have been this tasty.
Overall, the ambience was cosy and friendly. The service was good even though it was nearing closing time. The waitress recommended the food with efficacy when we told her it’s our first time. We also ordered 2 plates of rice, hot tea-o, iced cincau longan and a glass of plain water. Our total bill was RM30.85 including 5% service charge which was considered as worthwhile and affordable… not costly for a wholesome and delicious dinner!
