Hubby tried to leave early from work so that we could have a nice be-early birthday dinner ^.^ Unfortunately, he couldn’t so we had dinner somewhere nearby after work last Wednesday >.< We found this quiet and simple restaurant in Centrepoint which was still open after 10pm. Thankfully!
I totally loved the ambiance as it was welcoming and the environment was so inviting and calm. It felt comfortable with the warm, serene surroundings.
Hubby ordered Slow-cooked Lamb Shoulder. The meat was tender and succulent, totally immersed with the gravy. The potato, however, was a little tad hard like it wasn’t really cooked. Hubby wasn’t sure if it was meant to be that way but it didn’t complement the lamb well.
My Olio with Grilled Prawns Spaghetti tasted just right, not too oily nor spicy with grilled prawns which were totally fresh. Please excuse my fatigue self… was up since 7am!
Fresh Lemon and Honey for Hubby and House White Wine for moi. Hubby was complaining he couldn’t taste much honey. Honestly it was so sour! I wondered how many lemons they had used as it totally woke us up! Anyway, I regretted ordering the white wine as it was shockingly not smooth and tasted a little cockroachy… had to quickly gulped it down =.=
Courteous staffs, proportionate food servings and a peaceful evening summed it up. We enjoyed the quiet moments and feeling totally blissful. Our total bill, including 6% government tax and 10% service charge, was RM97.44. A little overpriced but it was worth it.
Hubby, thanks so much for the wonderful be-early birthday dinner… luv ya lots! Muacks!
