MPOV: Sasatinnie gold foil tightening mask

I have a stack of masks given by NIL so thought of trying it out and giving my honest opinion, not sure if I'm doing it right as I seldom read other reviews for beauty stuffs. Started with this one, to be honest, I was attracted to the word, gold! LOL!

It was simple, easy to use like any other masks but this one is special as it can be looped over the ears to hold it. Cool right? Of course, I have cooled it in the fridge so the cooling texture made it soothing and relaxing. It wasn't scented too with some gold flecks so I guess this is the gold part lah!

End result: skin felt soft and plumpy but I do noticed my cheeks were more reddish although no other sensations felt.

Yasmin’s Henna Tattoo

I was manning my booth at the Summit USJ Flea Market yesterday when I noticed the opposite booth actually offers Henna tattoos. You know me lah… tattoo fanatic… I immediately went over to kehpoh *big grin* This lady is really gutsy and hard-working ^.^ She sells accessories, cosmetics and clothes so when customers came for Henna tattoos, I was surprised *respect*

She has a permanent shop on the 3rd floor so if you are interested, you can either call her or drop by her shop ^.^

MPOV: Nails Garden

While Hubby was having his hair cut, I went hunting for a pedicure shop and I found this…

Luckily, there weren’t many customers so I don’t have to wait. The girl who attended to my feet was professional and efficient. In fact, I wasn’t afraid if she might accidentally injured my feet *wink* well, due to past experience. It was a pleasant experience indeed and well worth my RM48 ^.^

Whallah! 2 days after and still looking good…

MPOV: Bellisia Esthetics & Wellness Therapy

I have not gone for facials in ages! Well, mainly because I live quite far from the main attractions now. My skin has since deteriorate, if you remember my rambling here, with home care alone is never enough! As I frequent Tropicana City Mall often, Hubby advised me to give this shop a try.

I actually felt intimidated when I first went into the shop. Furthermore, I didn’t make any appointment but thankfully there was a vacant spot and it was a Saturday, mind you. The lady owner was friendly enough, explaining the products and analysing my skin condition, then ushered me to sit down and filled up a questionnaire card. Once the beautician was ready, she ushered me into a small room to change my top and keep my stuff in a locker before leading me to the facial room.
Before she started, the beautician analysed and recommended the type of facial which was suitable for me. She had recommended Brightening Skin Renewer with Hydratante Ampoule for my dull and dry skin.
From double cleansing to steam, exfoliating then extraction, pressure point massage to toner + ampoule + mask. I felt my skin came alive! A few notes I’ve made:
  • When it was time for extraction, I actually felt my pulse racing! LOL! Ok, well, previous experience was not pleasant therefore I was kinda worried. Thankfully, this lady was gentle and the whole extraction process was pleasant!
  • The massage was also relaxing, totally felt relieved and my shoulders finally was able to loosen up a bit.
  • I totally enjoyed it when she had applied the mask, using a machine to massage and spread it around. It was also cooling which felt invigorating.
  • The set back was that i still felt less pampered. I mean I was ushered in and out, without a simple feet bath nor a scented environment, which I was used to.
  • My beautician was kinda superior too which made me felt uncomfortable, inferior, not sure why.
Anyway, they were having a ‘Buy 1 Free 1’ promotion… my facial costs RM268, usually for 1 session but now for 2 sessions ^.^ Also adding RM48 for my ampoule. Overall, it’s a tad bit expensive since without the extra perks which I can get from other beauty parlours at a cheaper price. Even their Dermalogica products cost a bomb! I’ll stick to Clinelle for now, thank you ^.^ Hmmm… when I should quickly redeem my 2nd session though *thinking*
Thank you, Hubby, for this wonderful be-early birthday present! Lotsa love and kisses… muacks! Me after the facial…

Review: Top Passion Hair Salon

Just 2 days before CNY, I had my hair trimmed. I just walked into 1 of the hair salon in Tropicana City Mall, without looking at the signage. I usually had my hair trimmed by my SIL but since time was limited so I had no choice.

Before I knew it, I was at Top Passion Hair Salon. I opted for a Senior Stylist, Jason. He checked out my hair before trimming it, noting that it’s fine and also quite dry at the ends. He did recommend a special hair treatment which cost RM180 but I declined it as I have set my mind for a haircut and nothing else. After a few snips, Jason ushered me to the wet area for my hair wash.

I’ve missed those moments of being in a professional hair salon i.e. like this moment where 2 persons blow dry my hair at the same time. The one without specs is Jason.

The overall experience was relaxing although minus the shampoo girls and massages. I was hoping for those actually… needed a good shoulder massage. Anyway, Jason was friendly until the moment I mentioned I wanted to snap some photos to be posted on my blog. He became wary of me then =.=

My hair cut + wash + blow = RM46. According to the receptionist, it’s slightly more than the usual as it’s nearing CNY. I honestly don’t know how much it usually cost. It was worth it overall although I felt that my hair cut was kinda little… I mean it still looked the same.

My RM46 hair… I liked the fact that Jason curled the ends for me. It’s very nice of him as he suggested it ^.^

Review: Pedicure @ Bellisia

As Chinese New Year is just around the corner, I do have a to-do list to complete i.e. spring-cleaning the house, stocking up on CNY noms and of course, self-grooming... LOL! Self-grooming consisted of facial, hair-do and pedicure... ya, ya, you can call me vainpot... ain't we all are? Hmmm... including MEN, ya! Why I said this? Well, I had a pedicure appointment today at Bellisia (Btw, I've accidentaly discovered that they do offer manicure and pedicure besides facial! Hooray! I have another option now!). While waiting for my turn, a good looking man suddenly appeared from the facial section! I was taken aback as I only came for pedicure *blushing* shy lah!

Anyway, back to my pedicure, Christine attended to me. She was really cheerful and friendly as compared to her other colleague who took my appointment the other day (Her colleague had The Look - she kinda looked me down). I opted for the basic pedicure and my oh my, she was really good. My feet was totally pampered and cleansed. She suggested that I have nail art for my big toes... since CNY is coming and so I did... looked kinda weird with the bulging rose... loved the glitters though!

The basic pedicure costs RM48 and nail art for each toe was RM6. Quite reasonable and I enjoyed it.

Creative Nail Boutique

I was feeling lethargic lately so I decided to give myself a pedicure treat last Thursday. Coincidently there was a promotion for Express Spa Pedicure at Creative Nail Boutique for RM75 (normal price was RM120) so I thought of giving it a try. It’s a first for me as I have not gone for any spa pedicure before hence I was hoping my feet would be pampered to the nines!

Firstly, my feet was soaked in warm water, scrubbed with salt and then wrapped in masque.

img286

The pedicurist then started to work on my toes i.e. removing the old colour… cutting, shaping and cleaning my nails. Once done, she started to remove the masque, cleaning and washing my feet. It felt so nice, clean and smooth.

img288

She then started to apply some lotion and massage my feet. After all the pampering, she applied the nail colour and wallah! The end result… my beautiful pampered feet :-)

img290

Overall, the whole spa experience was nice except for some unskilled moments…

  • My nails were not cut accurately with some shorter than the rest. I wanted square with rounded corners but I got just square instead :-(
  • The massage was torturing! It felt like my skin was about to come off!
  • I can see that my pedicurist was an amateur… her hands were shaking non-stop and her skill has not been honed.

The atmosphere was friendly and service was good from the receptionist to the pedicurist but they are all foreigners as such their communication skills were lacking. I would have preferred her chatting with me while pampering my feet. Anyway, they have also given me a member discount card which is applicable for purchasing only, not meant for manicure/ pedicure services :-(

My Birthday Week 2010

This will be a long post so I’ll try to shorten it as much as I can ;-) I’m glad that I have a wonderful birthday this year with my family and close friends albeit a low key one :-)

  1. It started last Saturday night. Had a wonderful dinner in Hometown with my angels and In Laws.

SV400005

Princess was so brave as she had just extracted her front tooth at the dentist :-) After much persuasions from all of us :p

Our sumptuous dinner at Restoran Makanan Laut Sun Swee Kiong (Jalan Homan, Tanjung Tualang) amounting to RM153. It’s cheap yet delicious for a small town restaurant compared to the ones in KL. 8 thumbs up out of 10

While we were chatting, Princess was busy camwhoring with Dolly!!! LOL! She’s pretty good, much better than me :p

My angels made these cards for me :-) So sweet of them <3 <3 <3

2. Last Monday night, had dinner with 2 of my BFFs at Chili’s Empire Subang

P7050007

I had known Joyce and Sherry for more than 10 years! Gosh! Time flies!

P7050010

Joyce had Quesa Chicken with Guava Juice

P7050009

Sherry ordered Mushroom Burger and Coke

P7050011

Mine was Tequila Fish Steak with Guava Juice

Overall, the food was good and the portion was huge! We managed to finish it while chatting away ;-) The waiter was attentive too, clearing the table and topping our drinks. We had a great time catching up and laughing non-stop. I totally enjoyed it even though I was dead tired!  The bill was quite costly, RM117 but it was compensated with good food and service :-)

P7050015

Sherry has gotten me this thoughtful gift ;-)

3. A treat for myself at Colour Culture, Tropicana City Mall

Before: my ugly feet

After: my pretty feet

Overall, the manicurists were friendly and professional. I reached the shop last Wednesday an hour early for my appointment and they were actually booked but they still accepted me then. 1 of the manicurists stayed back; Yvonne was supposed to leave :-) Really enjoyed her company while she busy prettied my feet. I opted for basic pedicure which cost RM45. Thought of trying out the RM65 package inclusive of Jojoba scrub next month but sadly, they are shifting to Kota Damansara by 3rd week of July :-(

4. Dinner with Hubby last Thursday night at Tenji, SohoKL

We rushed to Tenji after work. Thankfully the traffic was clear all the way! We managed to arrive 7pm on the dot for our reservation :-)

Food galore!!!

DSC00060

A panoramic view of where we were seated :-)

DSC00039Me enjoying me crab :p

Overall, there were many varieties of food since it’s an international buffet. However, the quality slacked a little for some of the food. 1 thing I like is that they replenished the food promptly so you won’t have to wait very long. 1 thing I love is that they have both Haagen Dazs and Baskin Robbins ice-cream!!! It’s quite pricey too, RM88++ per head. Luckily they have monthly promotions, 2nd diner for RM28.80 only in July for dinner ;-)
