This may sound cheesy but I actually won a pack of cds from Red FM!

I was listening to Red FM when Terry was announcing Soundsnap SMS contest on the night of 9/10/13. I was waiting for Hubby to pack dinner so on a whim I actually SMS my answer! Lo and behold, Terry called! I was surprised as I wasn't expecting my answer to be picked up and win anything! Anyway, you can listen it here as I managed to record it when they replayed our conversation *happy wide grin*

Unfortunately, it took a while for my cds to arrive. As it was my first time winning something from Red FM, I didn't know the process. After numerous attempts to contact them, they finally responded! Honestly, the most effective way to contact Red FM is via their Facebook page!

Finally, my cds arrived! So, so, so happy as I love Michael Buble!

The next one was a limited edition bag charm from Elite Models Fragrances. Unfortunately, they were not a genuine lot. When I saw this advert in Facebook, I happily Sign Up to be eligible for the bag charm.

So glad to have received their email confirming my freebie!

Unfortunately, it was short-lived. Their email mentioned that I have to go to their office to collect it within a stipulated time-frame. The collection hour is the same as my working hours =.= How to collect? Hubby wanted to help me but last minute he can't make it, furthermore it's damn far! I sent them numerous emails and messaged to them in Facebook, hoping they could Poslaju it to me and I don't mind footing the Poslaju charge. Well, it went unanswered with only repetitive reminders from them in Facebook stating they will not Poslaju it to us in Klang Valley. They will only Poslaju to those who are outstation and asked us to refer to their T&C >.<

Honestly, I didn't click on their T&C so I didn't know about it. It was my mistake for not checking it out first.  How would I have known they are not genuinely giving out the freebies?! This is how I felt. Whoever came up with the giveaway mechanics was really duh and damn selfish! Totally speechless!

At long last, I had to forgo it as I can't be taking leave for a RM42.90 bag charm. Totally not worth it!

Thanks to JoinMe - Food Review Malaysia, a cool new food review website, I've got 2 free GSC movie tickets!!! It was a blessing as I have not gotten any freebies in awhile now *sweat* Hubby decided we should watch something new hence decided on Brave since it's the newest of the lot then!

Movie started with Merida's day out with her parents in the woods. Her father, King Fergus, gave her a bow for her birthday to which her mother, Queen Elinor, disapproved as she is a princess. While retrieving her arrows in the woods, Merida lost her way but encountered some wisps which helped her back to her parents. However, a giant bear has followed her and attacked the family causing Fergus to lose his left leg while fighting the giant bear! Many years later, Merida has grown up with identical triplet brothers. One night, her mother told her about her betrothal to which she fully opposed. But she dutifully obliged until she found the loophole... the first-born of each clan is eligible to compete for her hand in marriage. All hell breaks loose during the competition when she actually competed for her own hand!

Honestly, a wonderful movie to watch, with funny yet scary story line although it's predictable at some point. I was laughing my ass off at some of the hilarious moments when I realized I was one of the only few who did *awkward* I guess most people watched without really listening to the conversation/ story. They were more into the graphics/ movements. Anyway, a worthy movie to watch, with many hidden messages of chivalry and not forgetting some cool moves.

Bar.B.Gon Pillow

Finally! After months of waiting, Princess got her Bar.B.Gon Pillow from Bar.B.Q Plaza!

I had joined Bar.B.Q Plaza’s Facebook contest in March and found out I was 1 of the lucky 100 to receive the Bar.B.Gon Pillow on 23/3/11 ^.^ However, few weeks down the road, I still didn’t receive any letters or emails on how to claim the pillow and the dateline to redeem has finally lapsed =.= After a few email clarifications few weeks later, Bar.B.Q Plaza was kind to allow me to redeem the pillow… phew! Our World, Their War

Synopsis:
The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers’ final battle.

Being an Autobot is not an easy feat as the world is corrupted, which can be easily manipulated by the Decepticons. To protect the world from Decepticons, Autobots have to always be alert, on their feet. One of the way to ensure all the good citizens are accounted for is by having a special ID to recognize them, also allowing them to trigger for help whenever they are in danger.

Another way would be inserting a special chip into the brains of the corrupted criminals. This chip can override the existing brain wave and erased the dirty, corrupted mind. It will create a new wave with the right mindset. This task is definitely suitable for Bumblebee. Why? Well, I can cruise around the streets looking for criminals. Once caught, I can hypnotized them with my radio frequency and then quickly insert this special chip. Easy peasy!

FYI, did you know I have this cute air-freshener in me? I mean inside Bumblebee *blushing*

We can avoid a big war on Earth once we all worked together as ONE. The Decepticons will have to find other avenues to manipulate mankind to create their war.

I’m a Pirate, Take Me To Stranger Tides!

I’m not a Pirate fan but I would love to get my hands on those lovely exclusive set of 3 bottles of OPI Lacquer & Essential Manicure & Pedicure Service worth RM297 each!!!

I do envy being a pirate though, based on the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow, if it’s a true portrayal of a pirate ^.^

One… I would love a parrot as a pet… especially a talking one! A pet who I can talk to, confide to whenever I needed someone to talk to. I can train it to keep secrets too! How cool is that?!

Two… a pirate will never leave his ship without it’s treasure chest! Yes! A chest full of pearls, diamonds, rubies, sapphires, gold, etc… my own treasure chest! Yippee! Oops! It should be said in a deep voice ‘All mine! All mine! Ha! Ha! Ha!’

Last but not least, the adventures that came along with being a pirate… I can travel the world, the seven seas, without any worries of passport, transportation and all. Well, 1 thing for sure, I have my own ship, my own expert crews and endless funds so I can decide where to go, when to leave and plan what to do! Ain’t that cool???!!!

If I Were the Green Hornet

Ok Ok… I have to be realistic here… when I first saw the trailer, only 1 question came to mind…

Why did they choose Jay Chou as the Green Hornet? Of all person!

 

Hmmm… better stop offending Jay Chou’s supporters. Anyway I am curious too, how it will turn out to be…

If I were the Green Hornet, I would definitely wanna expose the human trade and kill all the human traffickers! It’s been so rampant nowadays with so many children and women missing. It’s sad that such crime still exists in a civilized world.

My thought would be to create “human bugs” for all babies especially the female species. Human bugs as in electronic bugs or chips, planted in the babies, with unique codes for each individual. It can act as our IC too. If any of them were to go missing eventually, I can track them and possibly trace the kidnappers… like the saying ‘killing 2 birds with 1 stone’.

 

The Green Hornet will be flying to the cinemas on 27th January 2011. Lets see how Jay Chou fare in this superhero gimmick

I have actually gotten 2 tickets to watch The Warrior's Way from Astrolife last week. However, I have given it to my colleague, Daniel, as Hubby and I totally don't have the time to watch it! It felt like a Christmas gift to him as it was Christmas eve when I gave it to him ^.^

Anyway, I had just watched the 2nd leg final of the AFF Suzuki Cup and Malaysia has won based on aggregates! Well done Harimau's! Congrats on your success Coach Rajagopal! Loved this Tweet from Rio Ferdinand of Manchester United:

"Congratulations 2 Malaysia who beat Indonesia in the Suzuki cup final. I played against Malaysian u23 team 18months ago, quite a good team."

PS: I do wish it's a Public Holiday this coming Friday or Monday though o.O

The Season of the Witch is Here

I have always enjoyed magical type of series or movies such as:

Well, everyone needs a little imagination and magic in our lives or it will be a boring one. As usual, we will always remember the hero or heroine of the story and not the bad guys. However, there’re two movies in particular, which gave me a fright… those witches were too hideous, horrendous looking that their images were imprinted in my mind for a good few weeks! Yes, thanks to the skillful actors and make-up artistes!

Remember her? From Clash of the Titans… hideous right?

How about this? From Hellboy 2… oh horrendous!

They are so damn freaking scary! Honestly, if all witches looked like them then I can forgo watching such movies. That’s right, I totally don’t dig gory and horror movies. Don’t ask me why… I just don’t =.=

Well, Season of the Witch is coming to Malaysian cinemas on 6th January 2011 with Nicolas Cage as the leading actor! I just pray that this movie doesn’t have ugly witches… so far they looked good in the trailer Even Ron Perlman looked normal! LOL! Don’t believe me? Just watch the trailer…

Jipaban – My 2010 Santarina

When I first heard of Jipaban, the first thing that came to mind was ‘1 million’. Why? Well, it literally means that in Hokkien! LOL!

Anyway, I was surprised there were so many cool stuffs in Jipaban, from books to clothes to gadgets! My shoulders are aching now due to constant clicking and clicking through the endless stuffs!
